In 2006, I had the pleasure of recording a series of interviews with Indianapolis magic legend Harry Riser. I thought that many magicians would be interested in Harry's incredible stories of his life in magic and his friendships with Dai Vernon, Charlie Miller, Ed Marlo, Slydini, Alex Elmsley, and many others. what originally caught my eye, and not sure if this is just a coincidence or not, the number of cards between his chosen 3 of Spades and the next instruction card was 3.
Dude makes magic for charity and put a TON of effort on this performance. I'd given him the trophy anyway.
Really great trick. And how you personalized it for Alyson. I got lost in the enjoyment of it and loved that.
Ok, so the first part of the bit if not all of it is like 'shark tank' meets "fool us" lol. I would buy the game.
I've seen Caleb perform in person, and his magic is amazing and fun.
I absolutely loved this. A thoroughly entertaining show. Damnit Dylan!
first comment in 3 years
I love these inside stories about the magi of the 50s-70s; thanks for the info.
Definitely not a ‘bored’ game! Brilliant baffling magic! The wonderful natural personality of Alyson showing why she was irreplaceable!
The lovely Alyson clearly showing in 2024 how irreplaceable she was, oh… and by the way - the greatest card trick I’ve ever seen!
Super ❤
This guy is awesome! I have been performing magic for 50 years and this guy is smooth as it gets. One of the smoothest flowing Acts I have seen to date.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.
Pure entertainment. Thank you
Alyson is preeeeety❤
Ihan oli perssiistä tämä temppu.
This guy is great.
This fool just n makes things up. Harry Lorayne said he was an idiot.
He should have forced something different than the 3 of clubs, it sorta gave away the force, because it's P&T favourite card as everybody knows. However this doesn't diminish the ability in remainder of trick and how bold to use the 3 of clubs!
It was the Three of Spades not Clubs
That was a great trick.
getting back in the game and trying to remember my favorites thanks for posting!
Someone does magic. Two persons rejects or accepts that they are fooled.Spectators do not know why is that? This programme fools the viewers. Please avoid this programme.
Outstanding as always, Caleb! Miss you, but I'm guessing you don't miss the "magic" required for ATA! 💚💜
Great job buddy love it
This was one of the best trick I have seen involving an assistant
Outstanding Performance!!!
His helping a little to much... 😅
This one time at band camp I fooled Penn & Teller by shoving a flute up my...
lmao
That is a really beautiful trick
Wait, wait... you were on Fool Us with Penn & Teller?! Twice?! That's so amazing!! 🤯I really hope I get to run into you at Origins! I would be honored! 😳 (Really love the way you incorporated board games into your act, too!)
Yes! I was on in Seasons 3 and 7. Such a great experience.
@@CalebWilesMagic I watched both videos this morning! Very impressive, Caleb! ☺
Incredible show. You're an absolute one-ahead wizard. 🙌🏼
Ha ha. Thanks! I always like to make the audience feel like I've prepared a journey for them... so I need to stay one step ahead at all times.
There gimmick cards. During the trick we never see %100 of the face of the card. On the part of the card we don’t see there is a 3 of spades printed on it so basically every card is the 3 of spades and isn’t at the same time. At 3:34 he’s covering up the bottom corner of the card. Under the part he is hiding is a totally different card printed.
There was another episode where it came to similar situation where Penn asked the magician if he could check the cards in order to determine if he knew how it was done or not. It turned out they didnt know how it was done, but Penn stopped and made a sincere apology at what he had just done in asking a magician if he could check his cards after doing his trick. He was extremely embarrassed both personally and professionally in asking such a thing as its apparently extremely unprofessional especially being the host of his show. He said that it was completely wrong of him to have asked to see his cards after the trick. And made the guy a winner regardless of the fact the cards did actually check out. This is the same scenario except Penn didnt call himself out.
Alison was so hot
Respect for the honesty
Penn and Teller have a magician work with the contestants so he knows how the trick works. He keeps the contestants honest. Not that Caleb wouldn't be honest anyway.
Caleb, what a brilliantly constructed and executed show, thanks for sharing!
Ollie! It's great to hear from you. Thanks for the kind words!
Never heard of this guy. John Scarne was the Real legend.
I don't care how forced Penn might have been in this situation, that was so exceptionally clean that it's impossible to tell. Usually when the performance is lacking, the producers will edit a shot. But at no time here was there an edit away from you where it was intended to conceal sloppy dexterity. It was clean. It was beautiful. I have a little extra respect and admiration for such a talented Hoosier. Great job, man.
As a fellow Hoosier who has met and had conversations with Penn and Teller, I appreciate the hell out of this. They are great guys who really seem to appreciate and care for every fan and person they meet. Damn Good job with the representation, man!
What an awesome performance! Great job mate! 😃
Awesome show. Amazing magician, fun show!
What a powerful and fantastic show! Chapeus bas! 👏🔥 You killed them! 🪄
I'm glad you liked it!
I'm pretty sure this guy is a wizard. Lol
A killer performance, and so much fun!
You can really work a crowd!! Your CAAN idea/presentation is brilliant!
Thanks. I'm a big fan of the CAAN trick. It goes all the way back to Al Baker!
wonderful effect
Why noone shuffled deck of card? Very obvious
But she already made her magical debut on Buffy.
I don’t have enough breadcrumbs to follow the conversation between Penn and the magician! 🤷🏽♂️
Cool idea (having someone else do the trick) but implemented poorly. "Anyone could do this trick" and proceeds to keep touching everything, hard hovering, and micromanaging--as if she couldn't read the instruct cards. Keep your hands to yourself and this may have been impressive. He didn't even touch anything that was necessary (or he did, and this can't be done with just anyone, ordering the deck/shuffle), just controlling--not instructing.
